Team Members

1. Head of Teaching & Learning (HoTL) [FULL]

Roles:

  • Ensure the teaching quality and learning environment are up to standard
  • Providing teaching support, reviewing and giving feedback on lesson plans
  • Coordinating the academic fellows

2. Head of Student Affairs (HoSA)

Roles:

  • Ensure that students’ learning experiences with WeLearn are positive
  • Overseeing all the extra-curricular activities and special events (e.g. Fashion Show, Cultural Carnival)
  • Coordinating the SLECs

3. Special Learning Experience Coordinators (SLEC)

Roles:

  • Design, Plan, Organise and Run the special events as well as extra-curricular
  • Act as a bridge of communication between students and WeLearn, informal way to collect students’ feedbacks
  • Report to the Head of Student Affairs directly

4. Academic Fellows (AF)

Roles:

  • Design and deliver academic classes to students
  • Assist with special events and extra-curricular activities such as Sports Day, Fashion Show
  • Act as House Master

5. Executive Trainee

Roles:

  • Assisting cofounders and heads in decision-making and operation
  • working in both Education (AF/SLEC) and Evaluation team (AT/AS) for at least 2 months to acquire required exposure and network
  • during the rotation, ET will carry out exact roles as stated in the respective positions’ description* ET is a 3-semester position that aims to nurture the future heads for WeLearn

6. Management Office Executives (MOE)

Roles:

  • managing day-to-day activities and support the operation
  • to maximise the efficiency in WeLearn
  • ensure the operational workflow in areas such as, but not limited to, accounting, marketing, HR, IT and administration‎ is smooth and effective

1. Marketing Executives (ME)

Roles:

  • Conceive and develop efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Organize and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media etc.), exhibitions and promotional events
  • Write copy for diverse marketing distributions (brochures, website material etc.)
  • Design effective and complete appraisal system

2. Talent Acquisition & Development Executives (TADE)

Roles:

  • Recruit new staff
  • Handling staff concerns
  • Ensure staffers have positive experiences
  • Organise and manage recruitment events

3. Evaluation Specialists (ES)

Roles:

  • Design evaluation package to evaluate the outcomes of the programme
  • Design tools to track staff performance
  • Design evaluation forms to monitor students’ progresses

4. China Specialists (CS)

Roles:

  • Assist Head of WeLearn China to exprt our education model to mainland China
  • Liase with our current partner in China
  • Identify and contact potential local community partners
  • Identify and connect with university partners
  • Set up and manage social media accounts (e.g. wechat)
  • Design survival materials and/or talks for WeLearn staff who will provide training to our partners in mainland China

Requirements:

  • Experiences in China
  • Acceptable knowledge and understanding on China’s social service sector

5. Research Specialists (RS)

Suggested roles:

  • Conducting researches to examine various teaching and learning methods
  • Studying the benefits and pitfalls of experiential learning
  • Conducting researches on studying types of learners
  • Working closely with ES to on the data for the research reports

*It will be an excellent opportunities for Education majors to conduct their researches in WeLearn, particularly for those who would like to focus on experiential learning. It will also be great for Social Science students to study social mobility and related issues. If you have something in mind that we did not mention above.
